What is Business Professionals of America?
Business Professionals of America is the premier intra-curricular Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO). We’re preparing a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic and technological skills.
Massachusetts BPA is a statewide organization that prepares students for careers in management, digital technology, financial services, arts, entertainment, & design, and more! We provide opportunities for leadership development, professional growth, and networking through competitions, conferences, and community service initiatives—enhancing students’ skills in areas such as public speaking, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving. We empower students to become successful professionals in the global business landscape by offering curriculum based on national standards. Resources and materials are available on-line and designed to be customized to a school’s program.
Giving Purpose to Potential
Business Professionals of America has the ability to enhance student participation in professional, civic, service and social endeavors. Members participate in these activities to accomplish its goals of self-improvement, leadership development, professionalism, community service, career development, public relations, student cooperation and safety and health.
The Workplace Skills Assessment Program (WSAP) prepares students to succeed and assesses real-world business skills and problem solving abilities in finance, business administration, MIS, digital communication & design, management, marketing & communication, and health administration.
Some of BPA’s other major programs include the scholarship program, the National Leadership Academy, and National Officer Elections. The Torch Awards Program and Special Recognition Awards Program recognize students and chapters, respectively, for their leadership and service to the community.
